Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 16th that it will recruit summer part-time university students from the 20th to the 26th.
The number of recruits this time is 110, and the eligibility criteria are students enrolled in a two-year or higher university who are registered residents of Jeongeup City as of the announcement date or have at least one parent registered as a resident of Jeongeup City. Students on leave of absence, broadcasting and communication university students, and cyber university students are excluded from the recruitment.
The recruitment fields are divided into special recruitment (30 people) for national basic livelihood security recipients or their children, designated recruitment (20 people) for those wishing to work at Angel Heroes, camping sites, or Chilbomul Theme Park, and general recruitment (60 people) for those who do not fall under the above categories.
However, those who participated in the 2021-2022 summer part-time university student program among the designated and general recruitment candidates are not eligible to apply.
The selection will be conducted by a public computerized lottery on the 29th at the city hall's main conference room.
Applicants and their parents can observe the process, and in case of no-shows, withdrawals, or disqualifications among the selected candidates, an additional 20 candidates will be drawn as substitutes.
The selected candidates from the lottery must visit the city hall's General Affairs Division in person to submit registration documents from the 3rd to the 5th of next month.
The final registrants will work in two phases: from July 17 to August 6 (1st phase) and from August 7 to 27 (2nd phase) for three weeks at local children's centers, senior welfare centers, camping sites, water theme parks, and other locations.
They will be paid 9,620 KRW per hour (76,960 KRW per day), and if they complete the full three weeks, they will receive a total salary of 1,385,280 KRW including weekly holiday pay.
