Free Use of the Latest Toys Suitable for Infant and Toddler Development Stages

Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 15th that it will recruit an additional 100 members on a first-come, first-served basis through the Toy Library website from the 19th to the 22nd.

This additional recruitment for the second half of the year is open to any guardian of children under the age of 5 residing in Muan-gun.

By paying an annual fee of 10,000 won, members can use the Toy Library free of charge until the end of this year. Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and it is closed on weekends and public holidays.

The county recruited 250 new members in January and purchased more than 100 popular toys preferred by different age groups to support various play activities for infants and toddlers.

In particular, the free delivery service, which has been operating since 2021, has received great response as it allows members who find it difficult to visit the Toy Library?such as pregnant women, dual-income couples, and those living far away?to conveniently borrow toys at home free of charge.

To use the service, members can select the desired toys on the website and borrow and return toys for free. Up to 2 toys can be borrowed per session for a maximum of 3 weeks.

Kang Myung-su, head of the New Town Support Group, said, “We hope to support the emotional and physical growth of infants and toddlers through the rental of about 1,200 various toys and to alleviate parents’ economic burden even a little. In the second half of the year, we will continue to work to make Muan-gun a great place to raise children by opening an additional Toy Library in Muan-eup.”
