LX Hausys Unveils 'Edditon Wall,' Marble-Texture Wall Material

On the 15th, LX Hausys announced the launch of a new wall material product, ‘LX Z:IN (Jiin)’ EDITONE Wall, which resembles the appearance of marble.

‘EDITONE Wall’ targets consumers looking for alternative wall materials instead of wallpaper for a luxurious interior. It offers about half the price of porcelain tiles while precisely replicating the surface texture and design similar to natural marble, enhancing cost-effectiveness.

To fully capture the feel of natural marble, it was released in a large size standard (600mm×1200mm), similar to stone material wall panels. The design pattern repetition was minimized through digital printing to express a more natural marble pattern.

Applying LX Hausys’ self-developed new material ‘New Stone Core (NSC)’, durability was improved compared to existing stone and wood wall materials. ‘New Stone Core (NSC)’ is a material that compresses stone and PVC (polyvinyl chloride) under high pressure, addressing the weaknesses of stone and flooring such as cracking, chipping, and vulnerability to moisture.

In LX Hausys’ own impact resistance test, wood wall materials showed indentation marks and porcelain tiles, a stone wall material, were broken, whereas EDITONE Wall showed no damage marks at all. This test involves dropping steel balls from specific heights (0.5m, 1m) to measure impact strength. It is conducted under the same conditions as the US mineral interior material standard (ANSI Z124.3) impact resistance test.

Additionally, compared to polishing (clay-based) tiles commonly used as wall materials, EDITONE Wall weighs about one-third, making installation much easier. The occurrence of lifting and detachment is significantly reduced, enabling a safer space.

EDITONE Wall is available in a total of 10 colors, including ‘Velvet Quartz’ and ‘French Stone’, which fully capture the feel of natural marble. When applied together with the flooring product ‘EDITONE Floor’, it allows for an integrated marble look that connects walls and floors seamlessly.

An LX Hausys official stated, “With the recent trend of decorating entire spaces with marble, we expect ‘EDITONE Wall’ and ‘EDITONE Floor’, which can create a marble look at a relatively affordable price, to receive great attention. We will continue to introduce differentiated products in the ‘EDITONE’ series using self-developed new materials in the future.”
