Uiryeong-gun Athletes Complete 4-Day Journey at Gyeongnam Provincial Sports Festival

The Uiryeong-gun team from Gyeongnam concluded their four-day intense competition at the 62nd Gyeongsangnam-do Residents Sports Festival with the closing ceremony on the 12th.

At this event, with approximately 12,000 participants competing in 31 sports, the Uiryeong-gun team fielded 413 athletes and officials across 17 sports.

In terms of results by sport, the archery team secured 1st place in the team event and 3rd place in the individual event (Kim Jeong-su). In table tennis, the boys' high school team from Shinbanjeong High School took 1st place in the team event.

Additionally, the boys' high school soft tennis team from Uiryeong High School placed 2nd, the girls' high school volleyball team from Uiryeong Girls' High School placed 2nd, in taekwondo individual events, 2nd place in bantamweight (Wang Nam-ji) and featherweight (Park Ji-seon), 3rd place in men's taekwondo poomsae team event, 3rd place in baseball team event, 3rd place in boys' high school basketball (Uiryeong High School), 3rd place in general tennis, and 3rd place in judo individual events (Byun Seung-mok, Kang Dong-hyun, Lee Se-in, Park Seong-yeol, Park Mi-young), showcasing their skills.
