Gyeonggi Office of Education, Middle School Students' 'Gender Equality Education'... Until 14th at Seoul National University Students participating in the gender equality education program for first-year middle school students in Gyeonggi Province are taking a commemorative photo on the 13th.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will conduct gender equality education to enhance students' correct understanding of gender equality and to spread the culture.

The Gyeonggi Office of Education announced that it will jointly hold the "Approaching Gender Equality Up Education" with the Seoul National University Human Rights Center for 60 first-year middle school students in the province over two days, from the 13th to the 14th, at the 100th Anniversary Hall of Modern Legal Education at Seoul National University.

This education will be conducted under the themes "Youth Thoughts Growing" and "Youth Gender Equality Growing."

It also focuses on removing misunderstandings surrounding gender equality, which can be a source of conflict and prejudice among youth, and on fostering healthy and correct gender equality competencies.

Kim Jun-young, Director of the Counseling Center at the Seoul National University Human Rights Center, said, "I am very pleased to provide this educational opportunity to students," adding, "I hope it will be a good education where they learn to respect the basic rights and freedoms of others during community life."

Seo Eun-kyung, Director of Life Character Education at the Provincial Office of Education, emphasized, "The first year of middle school is an important period for forming values, and it is very important to conduct gender equality education to cultivate positive qualities as healthy members of society," adding, "Within the framework of character education, we will actively conduct gender equality education so that students can develop respect for others and take responsibility for the consequences of their own expressions."

The Provincial Office of Education signed a business agreement related to gender equality with the Seoul National University Human Rights Center last year and is promoting various projects.
