In the first Industrial Engineer exam of 2023 operated by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, 17 current students and graduates from the Electric Vehicle Department at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology passed the exam.
The Electric Vehicle Department has been operating the practical qualification test center for automobile maintenance under the Human Resources Development Service of Korea since 1998, managing tests for automobile maintenance technician, industrial engineer, engineer, and master technician levels.
Additionally, the department operates qualification test centers for automobile painting technician and automobile body technician, providing an environment where all automobile maintenance-related exams can be taken using on-campus facilities.
Since 2018, the department has also established and operated a mechanical maintenance industrial engineer qualification test center alongside the automobile maintenance test center. They offer more than 10 free practical special lectures annually in the fields of automobile and mechanical maintenance to encourage students to obtain certifications and improve employment quality.
As a result, the department achieved success in the first Industrial Engineer exam of 2023 with 7 passing the automobile maintenance industrial engineer exam, 10 passing the mechanical maintenance industrial engineer exam, and 1 passing the industrial safety industrial engineer exam.
Professor Kim Man-ho, the manager of the mechanical maintenance industrial engineer committee, stated, “Nowadays, it is not about how much one has learned, but how much one’s abilities are recognized that matters. Moving forward, all members of the Electric Vehicle Department will do their best to help current students and graduates obtain many certifications.”
Established in 1995, the Electric Vehicle Department at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has trained over 5,000 professionals in the automobile field to date.
The department actively participates in various workforce development projects such as the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s ‘Work-Study Dual System for Current Students,’ ‘Cheonghaejin University Project,’ the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s ‘Future Automobile Field Workforce Development Project,’ and Busan City’s ‘BB21+ Eco-friendly Automobile Workforce Development Project.’
