Park Minji's 3rd Consecutive Win... 'Highest Viewership of the Year for KLPGA Tour'

‘Domestic No. 1’ Park Min-ji’s moment of achieving a 3rd consecutive victory recorded the highest viewership rating of this year’s Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour.

SBS Golf announced on the 12th, citing Nielsen Korea, a viewership rating survey company, that "the broadcast of the Celltrion Queens Masters, which ended on the 11th, reached an average rating of 0.417%." This is the highest rating among KLPGA Tour tournaments held this year. In particular, the viewership rating soared to 1.493% at the moment when Park Min-ji and Lee Ye-won went into a playoff.


The final round of the Celltrion Queens Masters was suspended for about three hours due to bad weather and then resumed, resulting in a broadcast lasting nine hours, but the average viewership rating was quite high at 0.552%. Meanwhile, the broadcast of the final round of the Korea Professional Golfers’ Association (KPGA) Korean Tour KPGA Championship also reached a rating of 0.123%. In this tournament, second-year player Choi Seung-bin achieved his first career victory.
