Case Exhibitions at the 2nd Korea Cultural Foundation Expo
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Association of Regional Cultural Foundations
Gyeongbuk Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation has been awarded the ‘Regional Culture Excellence Award’ at the ‘2nd Korea Culture Foundation Expo’ hosted by the National Association of Regional Culture Foundations.
The National Association of Regional Culture Foundations supports the development of culture foundations through the ‘Regional Culture Foundation Capacity Building Support Project,’ which includes collaborative (joint) projects, enhancing work capabilities among culture foundations, and deriving policy agendas.
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Association of Regional Culture Foundations, the ‘2nd Korea Culture Foundation Expo’ was part of this project and invited outstanding cases from regional culture foundations, cultural and artistic institution workers, and the general public interested in culture and arts. A total of 24 outstanding regional cultural cases were selected across six categories: regional mediation, regional revitalization, cultural planning, fundraising, cultural governance, and cultural enjoyment.
Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation’s ‘Regional Cooperation Case through the Activation of Living Culture Project’ was selected as an outstanding regional cultural case in the cultural governance category. The foundation plans to operate an exhibition booth showcasing this case at the ‘2nd Korea Culture Foundation Expo’ held in July.
Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation has broadly collected residents’ opinions through living culture gatherings (public forums) and held regular meetings with regional cooperative organizations. Through this, they have continuously conducted projects among living culture institutions and organizations, cooperating with village communities and elementary, middle, and high schools to promote the activation of living culture, achieving harmonious cultural governance among the public, government, and foundation.
This year, the foundation aims to organize a living culture cooperative body and enact an ordinance for the activation of living culture, striving to establish and expand a systematic living culture ecosystem.
In terms of projects, through ‘Yeongdeok Living Exciting Interference’ and ‘Cultural Specialization Development Project,’ the foundation plans to expand living culture infrastructure within the region, provide opportunities for residents to enhance their capabilities and enjoy culture through diverse cultural and artistic education, and continuously exchange and connect with other institutions and centers to develop content.
The outstanding case of Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation, selected for the excellence award, can be seen at the ‘2nd Korea Culture Foundation Expo’ held from July 5 to 7 at Palbok Art Factory in Jeonju City.
