Yeongyang County Cheongwoo Association Holds Relay Campaign to Support Hosting Yangsu Power Plant

Pumped Storage Power Plant Perfect for Yeongyang!

Unanimous Agreement Among All Residents

The Pan-Citizen Committee for Attracting the Yangsu Pumped Storage Power Plant in Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk (hereinafter referred to as the Pan-Citizen Attraction Committee) held a "Relay Campaign to Pray for the Attraction of the Yeongyang Pumped Storage Power Plant" on the morning of the 12th at the courthouse intersection in Yeongyang-eup, together with the Yeongyang-gun Cheongwoo Association.

The campaign was successfully held with the attendance of Yang Bong-cheol, the standing chairman, Oh Do-chang, the county governor, the chairpersons and executive members of the Pan-Citizen Attraction Committee, and about 50 members of the Yeongyang-gun Cheongwoo Association.

This campaign was adopted as an agenda item at the "6th Pan-Citizen Attraction Committee Standing Joint Chairpersons Meeting" held on the 5th, aiming to continue the enthusiasm for attracting the pumped storage power plant following the Pan-Citizen Resolution Rally held during the 18th Wild Vegetable Festival.

The People Power Party Yeongyang County Party Members' Association, Yeongyang-gun Women's Organizations Council, and Yeongyang-gun Aehyang Youth Association have already held relay campaigns, and after the Yeongyang-gun Cheongwoo Association, the Yeongyang-gun Sports Council on the 16th and the Yeongyang-gun Village Chiefs' Association on the 19th are scheduled to continue the momentum.

The Pan-Citizen Attraction Committee plans to continue the relay campaign targeting hopeful organizations within the county until the attraction confirmation announcement in September, and will also conduct a pumped storage power plant attraction challenge together with Yeongyang-gun.

Yang Bong-cheol, the standing chairman, said, "We were able to confirm the wishes of the residents through the resolution rally, and many organizations and residents participating in the relay campaign and challenge are providing great support for attracting the pumped storage power plant," adding, "The Pan-Citizen Attraction Committee will do its best to fulfill the wishes of the residents."
