Famous American rapper Kanye West is causing controversy by showcasing 'naked sushi' at his birthday party.
According to major foreign media on the 11th (local time), Kanye West held his 46th birthday party on the 10th in Los Angeles (LA), USA.
At the party, an event called 'Nyotaimori (女?盛り)', where sushi is placed on a naked woman's body and eaten, took place.
On social media of attendees at the party, several photos were posted showing a naked woman lying on a table with sushi placed on top of her.
Nyotaimori is a dining culture originating from Japan and is known to have been adopted in Western countries such as Europe and the United States, where it is enjoyed at parties and the like.
However, as news of such a party spread, netizens expressed shock.
Many netizens reacted strongly, saying, "I can't believe such misogynistic culture still exists," and "Why do people do such disgusting things?"
In particular, the controversy intensified as it was reported that Kanye West's 9-year-old daughter, North West, also attended the party.
Meanwhile, Kanye West divorced Kim Kardashian last November and remarried Bianca Censori, an Australian architect, in January.
He also made headlines in August 2021 by changing his name to the two letters 'Ye' for personal reasons.
