[Special Stock] Dongyang ENP, 36 Years in Power Supply · Samsung Partner... Core Charging Technology for Electric Vehicles and Robots Up

Dongyang ENP is showing strong performance. The growth potential appears to be significant, influenced by plans to commercialize the ongoing national projects on wireless charging for electric vehicles and robots.

As of 11:49 AM on the 12th, Dongyang ENP is trading at 18,470 KRW, up 6.33%.

Dongyang ENP is a power supply manufacturer. Its major clients include Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Mobis, Sony, Hanwha Q CELLS, Humax, and Kyeyang Electric. Samsung Electronics accounted for 76.5% of its sales last year, the largest share. Samsung registered Dongyang ENP as a partner company in 1987. The company has been in the power supply business for 36 years. It is expected that business opportunities will increase with the emergence of new industries such as electric vehicles and robots.

Researcher Kim Doyoon from Research Alme explained, "After completing the national project ‘Development and Demonstration of a High-Safety, High-Convenience Wireless Charging Platform for Electric Vehicles,’ which is currently being conducted as the lead company, Dongyang ENP is expected to establish a mass production system for electric vehicle wireless chargers."

He added, "Charging time is being shortened, and development is underway to enable charging while driving. Based on the international standard frequency (85 kHz), the technology is compatible with electric passenger cars (33 kW) and electric buses (100 kW), and product scalability is expected after commercialization."

Furthermore, he analyzed, "Considering that Green Power, a wireless charging specialist company, commercialized the world’s first 11 kW wireless charging technology in the second half of 2021, which is already implemented as the GV60 wireless charging function, the business feasibility is sufficient."

Researcher Kim also introduced, "Dongyang ENP is participating as a joint development institution in the national project ‘Development of Core Technologies for 3.3 kW Cluster Wireless Charging for Robots,’ conducted by the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) until the second half of 2025."

He continued, "Similar to electric vehicle wireless chargers, the company plans to commercialize after completing the project. The wireless charging for robots is already partially commercialized and can be observed in practice."

He stated, "Previously, Dongyang ENP successfully completed the project ‘Development of 1 kW Robot-Type Ultra-Small, High-Efficiency Wireless Charging Commercialization Technology’ with ETRI. The company’s technology advancement and full-scale market entry are highly anticipated." This project includes achieving world-class charging distance and efficiency, as well as technology that meets domestic electromagnetic interference standards.

It is estimated that this year’s sales will reach 516.3 billion KRW, with an operating profit of 32.8 billion KRW. Compared to the previous year, sales are expected to decrease by 7.8%, while operating profit is projected to increase by 18.2%. A target stock price of 26,000 KRW was suggested. Researcher Kim judged that the current stock price is undervalued at 5.4 times this year’s expected performance. The company is expected to be re-evaluated as a leading company in the wireless charging era.
