Hana Tour, Reservation Status Analysis
Demand Concentrated for Departures at the End of July
Hana Tour announced on the 12th that this summer, demand for overseas travel is expanding not only to Japan and Vietnam but also to Europe and China, with travel demand particularly concentrated on departures at the end of July.
Analyzing the reservation status for overseas trips departing in July and August, Hana Tour found that Vietnam accounted for the highest share at 19.9%. However, Japan (18.2%) and Europe (17.6%) were not far behind, and China, which has recently shown a remarkable recovery in travel, accounted for 13.3%, indicating that the overseas travel market has entered a full-fledged normalization phase.
Regarding reservation shares by departure date during the peak summer vacation period from July 24 to August 6, July 29 departures accounted for the highest share at 12.5%, followed by August 2 (9.6%), July 30 (9.1%), and July 28 (9.1%).
As for product features, reservations for small group tours such as the exclusive package tour "Urikkiri," designed only for groups of four or more from the same party, are increasing, and theme tours accompanied by experts in various fields are also gaining popularity. Additionally, during the so-called "7mal 8cho" peak period, interest is growing in products offering unique concepts and experiences, rather than the usual mountain or sea destinations that everyone visits.
Among these, the "Alaska Charter Flight 6 Days" operates only four times (July 24, 28, August 1, 5) with the only direct flight in Korea, timed for the best season to visit Alaska, allowing travelers to see four major glaciers. The "Mongolia·Terelj 4 Days" tour offers direct experiences of Mongolia’s culture and nature, including stargazing at Terelj National Park?one of the world’s top three star observation sites?Olle trail trekking, and horseback riding at a ger camp. The "Nha Trang·Dalat 5 Days" tour delights both the eyes and palate in the coastal city of Nha Trang and the popular gourmet destination Dalat.
