RGT Strengthens 'Robot Automation Solution' Business

Service robot total solution company RGT announced on the 12th that it will strengthen its 'robot automation solution' sector.

RGT, which opened the serving robot market for the first time in Korea with domestic technology in 2018, plans to provide automation solutions for various service robots, including kitchen robots, based on the know-how it has accumulated so far. Through this, the company aims to advance beyond its image as a serving robot development and distribution company and secure competitiveness as a total solution service that elevates robot functions used domestically and internationally to the next level.

RGT was recognized for its technological capabilities when it first supplied solutions to kitchen robot specialized franchises in 2019. It compensated for the hardware shortcomings of robots, which require separate execution of each function, by linking them into a single system through RGT's solution. For example, in the case of robot arms used as kitchen robots, there was an inconvenience of having to press different cooking action buttons depending on the food ordered by the customer. RGT's robot automation solution enhances the system to perform these actions automatically. Interconnection between robots is also simple. When cooking is finished, the serving robot approaches the cooking area at the completion time, receives the food, and serves it to the table, implementing such a system.

An RGT official stated, “There is a separately required automation area the moment collaborative robots are used in the service industry, and we are presenting solutions to solve this with RGT’s unique technology and know-how,” adding, “We will also strengthen our position in the software field to live up to the title of a service robot total solution company.”
