CU Launches Sudden Attack Pong Cream Ale, a Grenade Beer

Convenience store CU announced on the 12th that it will release the so-called "King Cap" beer 'Sudden Attack Pung Cream Ale,' which features a can lid that opens entirely.

CU has launched the domestic version of the open-cap beer (commonly known as Wangttukdeong beer), called Sudden Attack Punk Cream Ale. The photo shows models holding the product.

Unlike regular beer, Sudden Attack Pung Cream Ale is characterized by a can lid that opens completely like a tin can. After shaking the product up and down, opening the can lid produces a unique "pung" sound. The volume of the sound is about 90-100dB, comparable to birthday fireworks.

Sudden Attack Pung Cream Ale, a collaboration with Nexon Games' popular shooting game 'Sudden Attack,' combines the unique taste of beer, the aroma of hops, and carbonation using special malt. The alcohol content is 4.7%. CU produced a limited quantity of 150,000 cans due to production reasons and plans to consider additional production after monitoring customer response.
