A man in his 50s died after being crushed by a construction lift (hoist car) at a new apartment construction site in Gwangju.
According to the Gwangju Nambu Police Station on the 11th, at around 3:40 p.m. that day, A (58) was crushed and died under a hoist car at a new apartment construction site in Bongseon-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju.
A was an employee of a subcontractor related to the hoist car and was inspecting equipment at the site when the accident occurred.
The police believe the accident happened as the hoist car fell to the first floor and are investigating whether safety regulations were followed and the circumstances of the accident.
