The newly introduced system is an AI-based computer system that automatically calculates the optimal inventory level for each product based on past sales performance, helping to facilitate product management. CU was the first in the industry to introduce an automatic ordering function in 2012 and has continuously advanced the system since then. Previously, it was applied only to certain products such as tobacco, but with this upgrade, it has been expanded to about 4,000 products, including ambient food items like beverages, alcoholic drinks, snacks, and ramen, as well as non-food items.

Through this introduction, CU expects not only increased ordering convenience but also improved customer convenience and sales growth. In fact, as CU gradually implemented the Smart Ordering 2.0 system starting in April, stockouts decreased by 20.8% compared to before, while sales increased by 4.8%.
