When Complaining About Mustang Roar... "A Sports Car Recognized by the Country, No Problem"

Complaint About Loud Foreign Car Noise Heard Every Night
Car Owner Says "That's How the Car Is... Apologize"

After a neighbor posted a strongly worded complaint about the loud noise from a foreign car heard every night, a 20-something car owner responded in kind.

On the 7th, an online community ‘Bobaedream’ featured a post titled ‘Jeonju Hyojadong Mustang 5.0 Noise Dispute’.

When Complaining About Mustang Roar... "A Sports Car Recognized by the Country, No Problem" When a neighbor posted a somewhat aggressive complaint about the loud noise from a foreign car heard every night, the driver in their 20s responded with an equally intense reply (in red).

The author, Mr. A, who stated he “lives in a villa neighborhood in Hyojadong, Jeonju,” said, “There is a black Mustang 5.0 in the neighborhood, and the cold start exhaust noise is tremendous. Without exaggeration, it’s loud enough to make the house shake.”

He continued, “After midnight, the car starts and leaves, so I thought a fight with the neighbor would happen someday, and finally it did,” attaching a photo.

The photo attached by Mr. A showed a printed warning on an A4 sheet that read, “X-like 15X, 2XXX. Explosive muffler noise like a damn Chinese that wakes us up every late night! Bobaedream InSilX is coming.”

In response, the Mustang owner posted a rebuttal to the document. He wrote, “Search on Naver. The Mustang 5.0 is a car that makes noise from the moment it was made. And I’m in my 20s, the age to have fun, so is there a law that says I can’t go out at dawn?”

He then said, “I will prove it’s a stock car (not modified),” and shared his phone number, adding, “I will find whoever cursed and make them apologize.”

In a later post, seemingly added on another day, he claimed, “It’s a sports car officially recognized by the country, so it’s bound to make noise,” and “I went to the police box, and if I go to the police station, I can report the complaint that includes my car’s license plate and the curses.”

He added, “If you don’t contact me, I will definitely report it. I have plenty of time. Apologize.”

The controversial post received many replies from netizens who said they “currently drive a Mustang.”

One netizen said, “I’ve been driving Mustangs for the fourth generation, and if it’s a GT 6th generation, it means the exhaust has been tuned, and if it’s 6.5 generation, it has a variable exhaust, so it can start quietly when cold and is set up that way by default. In short, if that Mustang owner drives a 6th generation, just report it to the police immediately.” He added, “I apologize on behalf of Mustang drivers.”

Another netizen criticized the car owner, saying, “Even if it’s a so-called ‘stock’ car without modifications, being noisy at dawn is a nuisance.”
