Gochang-gun Fully Prepares for the 20th Gochang Bokbunja and Watermelon Festival

Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk is putting all its efforts into preparing for the 20th Gochang Bokbunja and Watermelon Festival, which will be held from the 16th to the 18th.

On the 9th, the county announced that on the 8th, a working-level meeting on the progress was held at the county office meeting room, presided over by Jeong Gil-hwan, Director of the Agriculture and Fisheries Industry Bureau, with about 20 related officials in attendance.

At the progress report meeting, based on the basic festival plan decided by the festival committee, the key progress and issues of each responsible team were reviewed and measures were derived. Any shortcomings discovered for a successful festival will be supplemented and improved.

In particular, this year’s festival coincides with the '2023 Gochang World Heritage Visit Year,' and plans to provide many enjoyable experiences to residents and tourists visiting the festival site by utilizing various tourism resources and cultural and artistic contents, preparing differentiated programs to ensure a successful festival.
