According to the police on the 9th, the additional drugs Yoo is reported to have used are medical drugs, primarily used for sleep anesthesia, such as "Midazolam," and "Alprazolam," which is used to treat insomnia.

Previously, Yoo was known to have used five types of drugs including Propofol, marijuana, cocaine, ketamine, and zolpidem. On February 5th, right after Yoo entered the country from the United States, the police collected urine and hair samples and requested a detailed analysis from the National Forensic Service. The test results detected four types of drug substances?marijuana, propofol, cocaine, and ketamine?in Yoo’s urine and hair. Subsequently, medical records revealed circumstances indicating that zolpidem, a psychotropic drug, was prescribed for non-medical purposes.

Yoo appeared twice as a suspect before the police on March 27th and April 16th, undergoing lengthy investigations. Except for some marijuana inhalation, he denies most of the other charges. He claimed that propofol and ketamine were used for treatment purposes and especially denied using cocaine.

Meanwhile, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit forwarded Yoo to the prosecution without detention this morning, adding the additional drug use charges secured based on medical records and other evidence.
