LGU+ Holds 'Safety Family Camp' with Employees and Their Families... Experience with Protective Gear and Descenders

LG Uplus announced on the 9th that it held a 'Safety Family Camp' for 35 families of employees from the company's network operations team over one night and two days, from the 7th to the 8th, at the R&D Center Safety Experience Training Center in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, and a glamping site in Gongju.

Under the message "My safety is my family's happiness," this camp was promoted to help employees and their families understand the importance of safety, directly experience various safety accidents and crisis situations that can occur in daily life, and develop their ability to respond and overcome them.

On the first day, at the safety experience training center set up at the Daejeon R&D Center, employee families learned how to safely evacuate without panic during an actual fire by directly experiencing the use of an emergency escape device and maze escape. They also experienced escaping from a distressed ship using an air slide for marine accidents. Through CPR practice for adults and infants, they strengthened their ability to respond to common safety accidents that can occur in everyday life.

Additionally, they heightened their awareness of safety accidents by experiencing potential safety incidents at communication sites in advance through VR (virtual reality) technology. Watching their parents work in a safe environment while wearing safety gear such as helmets, safety shoes, and safety harnesses helped them realize the importance of preventing safety accidents.

After the safety experience, at the glamping site located in Gongju, families participated in various events such as safety quiz recreation, creating short safety slogans, and finding safety and health signs, providing time to reflect on safety rules necessary in real life.

LG Uplus expects that through this event, employees will deepen their awareness of the importance of safety and be motivated to comply with safety regulations at work sites in the future. It also anticipates that families will have an opportunity to enhance their practical safety response capabilities.
