1st Quarter Beer Brand Power Leads with 36.3%
OB Beer’s ‘Cass Fresh’ announced on the 9th that it has maintained its number one position by showing an upward trend for four consecutive quarters in the domestic beer brand power survey.
In the first quarter beer brand power survey conducted by global marketing research firm KANTAR, Cass Fresh ranked first among domestic and international beer brands distributed in Korea with 36.3%. Following Cass Fresh in beer brand power were domestic brand A (23.4%) and domestic brand B (3.3%). Additionally, OB Beer’s ‘Cass Light’, ‘Hoegaarden’, and ‘Budweiser’ were ranked within the top 10.
KANTAR’s brand power survey is conducted quarterly using a hybrid method combining face-to-face and online questionnaires, targeting 10,000 adults aged 19 to 64 nationwide, measuring beer brand favorability, differentiation, awareness, and more.
Cass Fresh has maintained a steady upward trend since the first quarter of last year. It has increased its lead over the second-place brand for four consecutive quarters since the first quarter of last year. OB Beer attributes this success to Cass’s differentiated quality and continuous consumer engagement marketing. Cass led large-scale consumer campaigns after the COVID-19 downturn, including World Cup marketing and the Daegu Chimaek Festival last year.
The Cass brand manager stated, “Cass is the undisputed national beer brand, overwhelmingly number one in both sales volume and brand power,” adding, “In the upcoming peak season, Cass plans to meet consumers with refreshing summer marketing that will blow away the heat with its unique crispness.”
