Policy Meeting with People Power Party Busan Chapter at City Hall on 9th, 4 PM

Mayor Park: "Full Support from Local National Assembly Members Needed for New Leap"

On the 9th at 4 p.m., Busan City will hold a 'Policy Meeting with the People Power Party Busan City Party' in the video conference room on the 7th floor of City Hall to address current city administration issues and build consensus, including attracting the 2030 Busan World Expo and the prompt construction of Gadeokdo New Airport.

At this meeting, Busan City will be represented by Mayor Park Hyung-jun, along with the Deputy Mayor, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, and Director of Planning and Coordination. From the People Power Party Busan City Party, Acting Chairman Jeon Bong-min and Busan-area members of the National Assembly are expected to attend.


The main topics of discussion include ▲attracting the 2030 Busan World Expo ▲prompt construction of Gadeokdo New Airport ▲relocation of the Korea Development Bank headquarters to Busan ▲attracting the headquarters of an integrated low-cost carrier (LCC) to Busan ▲making Busan a safe city where citizens can live with peace of mind (strengthening safety through replacement of aging subway trains, comprehensive summer natural disaster countermeasures, comprehensive safety measures for children's school routes, and regional communication regarding nuclear power plant radioactive waste disposal measures). In-depth discussions are expected to resolve major city issues and residents' long-standing projects.


Mayor Park Hyung-jun stated, “For Busan’s transformation, it is only possible through the city and local political circles prioritizing citizens, sharing empathy on local issues, and maintaining close communication and cooperation. To leap toward a better future, I will maintain constant communication with Busan-area lawmakers and thoroughly discuss local issues to lead the overall development of Busan. Citizen safety is an essential condition for citizen happiness,” adding, “I will do my best to realize a safe city Busan where all citizens can live with peace of mind anywhere.”
