Gwanak-gu Cheongnyong-dong Purumireu-gil Alley Festival Held

From 4 PM on the 10th, prize giveaways and busking performances will take place around Cheongnyong-gil and Cheongnyong 1-gil

Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) will hold various events on the 10th to revitalize the Purumir-gil alley commercial district in Cheongnyong-dong.

In March, Purumir-gil was selected for Seoul City's '2023 Local Commercial District Revitalization Support Project,' securing a budget of 61 million KRW to promote the commercial district, strengthen merchant capabilities, and implement various revitalization initiatives.

Accordingly, the district planned this event to create an opportunity for local residents and merchants to enjoy together, invigorate the local economy, and increase sales for small business owners.

Cheongnyong-dong Purumir-gil, located around Gwanak-gu’s Cheongnyong-gil and Cheongnyong 1-gil, is one of Gwanak-gu’s top 10 alley commercial districts, with about 100 stores concentrated in dining, service, and retail sectors.

The event will run from 4 PM to 8 PM, featuring activities such as roulette spinning and receipt-based events, offering prizes and alley commercial district goods.

In particular, leveraging the area's characteristic of having the highest youth population in Gwanak-gu, an indie band busking performance will be held to attract younger customers to the commercial district.

A district official stated, “We hope this event will serve as an opportunity to widely promote the alley commercial district, and we will continue to discover and implement various projects to revitalize alley commercial districts in the future.”
