Two Portable Power Fire Pumps Also Delivered
Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (Head: Park Beom-su) handed over two portable power fire pumps and 300 self-rental life jackets to Uljin Coast Guard Station (Chief: Choi Won-sik) on the 8th.
The life jackets, purchased to prevent water play accidents during the summer, will be placed at 16 beaches including Nagok-ri and Hupo-ri by the Uljin Coast Guard Station.
Visitors to the beaches can use them, and groups wishing to use them can apply for rental at the Uljin Coast Guard Station substation.
To prevent the spread of fire among densely moored fishing boats, Hanul Headquarters installed one portable power fire pump each at Jukbyeon Port and Hupo Port and held a pump demonstration on the day.
Choi Won-sik, Chief of Uljin Coast Guard Station, expressed gratitude, saying, “Securing self-rental life jackets will greatly help prevent water play accidents this summer,” and added, “Following last year’s support of throwable fire extinguishers, this year’s support of portable power fire pumps has strengthened the safety of Uljin’s marine area.”
Head Park Beom-su responded, “I think it is meaningful to effectively prevent marine safety accidents and protect fishermen’s valuable assets through the business support project,” and said, “We will devote efforts to creating a safe Uljin sea.”
