First Domestic Granola Cereal Introduced in 2008
Dongseo Foods is leading the market with convenient meal products that combine taste and nutrition by adding whole barley, oats, brown rice, nuts, and fruits to cereal.
Since launching the first cereal in Korea in 2008 that included granola made by baking whole grains to a crisp, Dongseo Foods has released various flavored products centered around two product lines: 'Post Granola' and 'Post Golden Granola.'
Post Granola is a product based on corn flakes, complemented with healthy granola and tangy dried fruits. It is rich in carbohydrates as well as nutrients such as vitamins and calcium. The detailed lineup includes whole barley granola, cranberry almond, blueberry, cacao walnut, brown rice, coco, and popcorn flavors.
Post Golden Granola is a premium granola line introduced in 2016 in response to the growth of the granola market. It offers a healthier experience by adding premium nuts and fruits to the existing granola cereal. The detailed products consist of Crunch, Fruits, and Almond Bean, allowing consumers to choose according to their preferences. Among these, Post Golden Granola Crunch features a five-grain granola (82.8%) made by optimally blending and baking super grains such as oats, rice, corn, barley, and wheat, enhanced with premium nuts like almonds and pecans to provide a rich flavor and crispy texture.
According to market research firm Nielsen's MarketTrack data, the domestic cereal market size was approximately 220 billion KRW as of last year. Among this, Dongseo Foods' Post Granola product line accounted for 80 billion KRW, capturing a 52.4% market share and ranking first.
