Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, is holding the "Hometown Love Donation Fund Project Idea Contest" until the 6th of next month.
According to the county on the 8th, this contest was planned to successfully establish and revitalize the Hometown Love Donation System.
The categories include support for socially vulnerable residents and youth development and protection, promotion of local residents' culture, arts, and health, support for revitalizing local communities, and other resident welfare improvement projects.
Anyone nationwide is eligible to participate, and applications can be submitted through various methods such as the Jangseong-gun website, email, postal mail, or in person.
The results will be announced in August, and depending on the awards, regional currency Jangseong Love Gift Certificates worth 100,000 to 500,000 KRW will be given as prizes.

A county official said, "We hope for many proposals so that the Hometown Love Donation Fund, created through precious donations, can serve as a catalyst for regional development and usher in an era of happiness for the residents."
The Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments other than their registered address and receive tax deductions and return gifts.
The county has attracted attention by preparing differentiated return gifts such as Baekyangsa Temple Stay, discount coupons for grass-cutting proxy services, and customized woodworking products by master craftsman Seol Ihwan.
On the 15th of next month, a temple food experience program will be operated together with Venerable Jeonggwan, a globally recognized "master of temple cuisine."
