Daesang Cheongjeongwon launched the convenient meal brand ‘Homings’ in May 2021 with the concept of ‘proper meals enjoyed at home.’ The brand name Homings combines the English word for home, ‘HOME,’ with the present continuous suffix ‘ing.’

Homings released convenient meal products that consumers can easily enjoy, including main dishes, fried rice, konjac fried rice, soups and stews, dumplings, and egg-coated series. The main dishes consist of 16 types of menus such as grilled, hot pot, and stir-fried dishes that are cumbersome to prepare at home. Utilizing rapid freezing technology, the shelf life has been significantly extended, and packaging use minimized, addressing the limitations of existing refrigerated meal kits. All ingredients needed for each dish are pre-prepared, allowing the meal to be completed within 10 minutes. Some products can be conveniently prepared using only a microwave. Homings main dishes surpassed 2 million cumulative sales and 15 billion KRW in cumulative revenue within one year of launch.

Homings fried rice includes six varieties: whole shrimp fried rice, beef fried rice, beef bulgogi fried rice, crab and lobster fried rice, red crab meat fried rice, and kimchi fried rice. Noting consumers’ concerns about oil intake when eating fried rice, healthy olive oil was used.

Homings konjac fried rice comes in three types: direct-fire seafood konjac fried rice, chicken breast konjac fried rice, and kimchi pork konjac fried rice. By using konjac rice, the calorie content is reduced to about half compared to typical frozen fried rice on the market. Homings soups and stews include 29 varieties such as Namdo loach soup, clear chicken soup, spicy chicken soup, beef bone kimchi stew, and beef seaweed soup. Through Homings, consumers can enjoy the traditional Korean table setting centered on broth-based dishes.

Additionally, Homings dumplings were introduced in eight varieties including home-style dumplings, crispy dumplings, and moist boiled dumplings. The Homings egg-coated series consists of two types: egg-coated meatballs and thick beef pancakes.
