When the Mokpo maritime police rescue team arrived, Mr. A was positioned in the middle of the bridge, confronting the rescue forces including the coast guard, and immediately after jumping into the sea, the West Sea Maritime Special Rescue Team, waiting at sea, entered the water and safely rescued Mr. A.
The maritime police confirmed that Mr. A was breathing and conscious and handed him over to the 119 rescue team.
A Mokpo maritime police official said, "Although there are many difficulties in searching when someone jumps or falls from the sea bridge at night, the quick response of the rescue forces saved a precious life."
