Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it has formed Dong District Advisory Groups to incorporate residents' fresh perspectives and ideas into the formulation and implementation of major district policies, aiming to operate district administration more efficiently.
The Dong District Advisory Groups are composed mainly of residents aged 20 to 40, with up to 40 members per neighborhood, and will serve from June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2026. Their roles include ▲discovering policies related to district issues ▲advising on the implementation of major projects ▲proposing new ideas for district development and regional advancement.
Starting with the appointment ceremony for the Chang5-dong District Advisory Group on June 1, appointment ceremonies for the Dong District Advisory Groups will be held in all 14 neighborhoods by the end of June.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, stated, “Various members belonging to functional organizations in Dobong-gu’s 14 neighborhoods have been providing diverse suggestions and advice on overall district administration, but we wanted to gather individuals with newer perspectives and visions. Therefore, we have formed and are operating the Dong District Advisory Groups. Moving forward, we will actively reflect the valuable opinions and innovative ideas of the advisory group members in district administration.”
