Window Air Conditioner Sales Up 35%
Impact of High Inflation and Increasing Single-Person Households
Electroland announced that this early summer, the sales of small cooling appliances such as window-type and portable air conditioners showed a more noticeable increase compared to large cooling appliances.
According to Electroland's survey of appliance sales from May 1 to June 7, the sales of representative small cooling appliances, window-type air conditioners and portable air conditioners, increased by 35% and 20% respectively compared to the same period last year. This figure is much higher compared to multi-type air conditioners, which recorded sales at the same level as the previous year during the same period.

The increase in sales of small cooling appliances is attributed to high inflation and the rise in single-person households. Window-type and portable air conditioners are relatively easier to install and move than regular air conditioners and consume less electricity, making them suitable for single-person households.
An Electroland representative said, "Electroland is offering all air conditioner products with 36-month interest-free installments to reduce household burdens and is running promotions selling summer appliances such as fans and dehumidifiers at special prices. If purchasing appliances is burdensome, we recommend using Electroland's appliance cleaning service, Seonhan Cleaning, to thoroughly clean your existing air conditioner and enjoy a comfortable summer."
