Hyosung announced on the 7th that it visited the Army 1st Corps Gwanggaeto Unit and delivered a total of 44 million KRW in consolation money and welfare support funds for Army soldiers.

The consolation money delivered this time will be used for the development of the military unit. The welfare support funds for Army soldiers will be used to create fitness rooms for soldiers serving in remote areas, among other purposes.

Since 2010, Hyosung has established a one-company-one-barracks sisterhood with the Army 1st Corps Gwanggaeto Unit, which protects the northern metropolitan area and the western front line. Since then, Hyosung has visited the Gwanggaeto Unit annually to support consolation money, reading cafe facilities for soldiers, fitness equipment, and laundry rooms.

Hyosung Chairman Cho Hyun-joon said, “We must properly remember and honor those who dedicate themselves to protecting the safety of the people,” adding, “I hope this support fund will help the soldiers who devote themselves day and night to defending the country.”

Under the slogan “Together through Sharing,” Hyosung supports various veterans programs to honor those who have dedicated themselves to protecting the nation. Last month, ahead of the Month of Patriots and Veterans, employees volunteered to clean the cemetery at the National Cemetery and supported the Nara Sarang Bogumjari project to improve the housing environment of national veterans.

To mark the 70th anniversary of the armistice, they also took a trip to the Paju area with war veterans and their families. This month, they plan to deliver “Love Daily Necessities” to national veterans and home welfare recipients registered with the Seoul Southern Veterans Affairs Office. During the COVID-19 period, Hyosung supported companion robots “Paibo” and AI care robots for elderly national veterans, helping with their daily lives and safety management, and was awarded the “22nd Veterans Culture Award” by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs for these contributions.
