Train delays unavoidable... Minimizing customer inconvenience
Check operation status in advance via website and KORAIL Talk

Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the 7th that some train services are expected to be delayed or disrupted due to the nationwide railway labor union's planned work-to-rule action from 5 a.m. on the 8th until the 15th.

Accordingly, KORAIL will operate an emergency transportation countermeasures headquarters to maintain a rapid response system. In case of delays, all available personnel will be mobilized for urgent deployment, and additional station guidance staff will be assigned to minimize customer inconvenience. During the work-to-rule period, ticket refunds (cancellations) and change fees will be waived.

The trains that will be suspended are four Mugunghwa-ho trains (two each on the Gyeongbu and Janghang lines). KORAIL is sending individual text messages to customers who have booked these trains to inform them.

Although no KTX trains will be suspended, delays are possible, so it is essential to check train operation status in advance on the website or the mobile app 'KORAIL Talk.'

Additionally, some commuter trains in the metropolitan area and on the Donghae Line are also expected to be delayed. If a delay certificate is needed, it can be issued via the ‘KORAIL Subway Talk’ app, the website, or at KORAIL jurisdiction stations.

A KORAIL official stated, "We ask those with important schedules during the railway union's work-to-rule period to use alternative transportation. We will prioritize safety and make every effort to minimize inconvenience caused by the work-to-rule action."
