'We Will Not Forget' ... Ulleung-gun, 68th Memorial Day Commemoration Ceremony

On the 6th, Ulleung-gun, Gyeongbuk Province held the 68th Memorial Day Ceremony at the Chung Hon Tower, attended by about 100 people including Nam Han-kwon, the county governor, national merit recipients and their families, and heads of organizations.

The ceremony proceeded solemnly in the order of saluting the national flag, singing the national anthem, silent tribute to the patriotic martyrs and war heroes, firing of a gun salute, laying of wreaths and incense, memorial address, recitation of memorial poems, and singing of the Memorial Day song.

Ulleung County held the '68th Memorial Day Commemoration Ceremony' at the Chung-hon Tower on the 6th.

In his memorial address, Governor Nam Han-kwon said, “We will honor the noble patriotic martyrs who sacrificed for the country instead of their families’ well-being,” adding, “We will never forget the peace and happiness we have gained through their sacrifice.”
