ICAH, a specialized IT component materials company, announced on the 7th that it will supply PE foam that protects the foldable displays of Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5. The company plans to expand the supply models in the future.
ICAH has been supplying Samsung Electronics with conductive tapes, electromagnetic shielding gaskets, and film-type thin antennas used in smartphones, and since last month, it has been supplying PE foam for shock absorption of foldable smartphone window glass to Samsung Electronics' wireless division through Samsung Display (SDC).
A company representative stated, "ICAH's PE foam is a process material that has passed SDC's stringent inspection," adding, "With this mass production application, ICAH is entering the foldable smartphone market for the first time, and we will actively develop and promote to secure a fixed partnership position and expand the applicable models."
Meanwhile, ICAH has begun developing PE foam for the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6.
