Now in its 7th year, the Sohaengseong Contest is Seongbuk-gu’s representative youth contest targeting youth and university (graduate) students in the local area.
Seongbuk-gu has made efforts to discover policy ideas utilizing the region’s abundant youth human resources, with the highest number of eight universities among Seoul’s autonomous districts, and to apply them to district administration.
The 2023 themes are ▲Youth Daily Empathy (Youth policy ideas for youth population settlement) ▲Resident Participation (Free topic).
Youth wishing to participate can select one theme and submit a proposal or video by June 30 via email or regular mail to the Planning and Budget Division of Seongbuk-gu Office (168 Bomun-ro, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, Planning and Budget Division Innovation Management Support Team). In-person submissions are also accepted.
Submitted proposals will be evaluated on creativity, economic feasibility, and practicability, with final decisions made through 국민생각함 online voting and the contest judging committee. Results will be announced in August.
Winners will receive prize money of 1,000,000 KRW for the Grand Prize, 500,000 KRW for the Silver Prize, and 300,000 KRW for the Bronze Prize.
