The Digital Platform Government Committee held the first meeting of the 'Super-large Public Artificial Intelligence (AI) Task Force (hereinafter "TF")' on the 5th, with the participation of domestic super-large AI companies, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the National Information Society Agency.
The TF was established as a collaboration channel among the private sector, related ministries, and public institutions to improve the work efficiency of public officials and enhance the quality of public services by utilizing a 'government-exclusive super-large AI.'
The committee will hold regular TF meetings to carry out tasks related to super-large public AI as part of the Digital Platform Government realization plan. The TF will devise methods such as connecting private AI infrastructure to a separate, secure area to learn and utilize internal data.
At this first meeting, the Ministry of Science and ICT shared the current status of projects supporting the use of advanced super-large AI in the private sector, leading applications of super-large AI in the public sector, and plans to activate a super-large AI ecosystem based on private cooperation. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced plans to pilot the development of AI administrative support services based on public-private collaboration.
The TF includes experts from four domestic super-large AI companies: Ha Jung-woo, Director of Naver; Bae Soon-min, Director of KT; Sung Seok-ham, Vice President of SK Telecom; and Choi Dong-jin, Vice President of Kakao. The team leader is Director Ha Jung-woo.
