The 365 Living Zone means establishing basic living services (3) such as health and education within 30 minutes, complex services (6) such as culture, education, and medical care within 60 minutes, and an emergency response system (5) within 5 minutes.

Under the vision of 'Vibrant, Regular, Energetic, and Glossy 365 Yeongam,' Yeongam-gun participated in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' contest by establishing a 'Rural Spatial Strategy and Living Zone Revitalization Plan' to enhance the sustainability of rural spaces and lay the foundation for balanced regional development.

This plan includes projects such as revitalization of rural centers, establishment of basic living bases, and rural village learning sharing within the Yeongam-eup rural living zone.

Following the selection in this contest, Yeongam-gun will invest 42.9 billion KRW over five years in the Yeongam-eup rural living zone, including 30 billion KRW in national funds.

This includes 13 billion KRW for the Yeongam-eup rural center revitalization project, 23 billion KRW for the basic living base establishment projects in Deokjin, Sinbuk, Geumjeong, Sijong, Dupo, and Gunseo myeon, and 6.9 billion KRW for other capacity-building projects.

It is said that Yeongam-gun's thorough preparation and meticulous procedural compliance were key to securing the contest selection.

First, Yeongam-gun established the 'Ordinance on the Promotion and Operation of General Agricultural and Fishing Village Development Projects' to provide a legal basis for the project.

Then, efforts were made to gather community opinions and spread awareness through holding Living Zone Promotion Committees and Rural Agreement Committees for each eup and myeon, as well as expert consultations.

Going forward, Yeongam-gun will undergo the supplementation and approval procedures for the submitted plan. Afterwards, it will sign the Rural Agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and begin project implementation.

Governor Woo Seung-hee said, “Being selected for the Rural Agreement contest is a great opportunity to improve living conditions in rural areas and achieve balanced development. We will successfully carry out the Rural Agreement to invigorate the local community and firmly establish the foundation for a happy Yeongam for its residents.”
