Free Operation of Various Herb Programs at Iljasan Herb Astronomy Park in Gangdong-gu Starting Late June
Basic Education on Herbs and Various Experiential Learning Using Herbs
Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Suhee) announced on the 5th that it will operate a unique herb education program exclusive to Gangdong for residents interested in herbs.
This program uses herbs produced in the herb cultivation complex to build basic knowledge about herbs, allowing participants to see and smell the herbs directly. It provides an in-depth experience aimed at adults.
The program is divided into a learning class and a theme class. The learning class offers education on basic theory about herbs and practical ways to use them in daily life over a total of 10 sessions. Participants who complete more than 80% of the entire course will receive a certificate of completion.
The theme class mainly consists of experiential lessons such as herb tea blending, DIY demonstrations of herbal cosmetics, and DIY demonstrations of pain relief gel. The theme class is expected to receive a positive response from participants looking for new hobbies.
There are also herb programs that anyone can participate in with children regardless of age or gender. Through ‘Five Senses Satisfaction Herb Experience’ and ‘Herb Cutting Experience,’ participants can learn about various herbs while making different herb products such as insect repellents, herb salts, Beomuli, and Febreze, and create their own pots with herbs that suit their preferences.
Applications can be made online through the Seoul Metropolitan Government Public Service Reservation Site, and the course fee is free.
