Regarding the appointment of Lee Raekyung, an external figure and Honorary Director of Dareun Baeknyeon, as the head of the innovation body tasked with carrying out the Democratic Party of Korea's reform efforts with full authority, former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok criticized, saying, "It would be better to appoint Kim Eo-jun as the head of the Innovation Committee." Kim is a pro-opposition broadcaster who hosts the YouTube program 'News Factory.'

On the 5th, former leader Lee said this through his social networking service (SNS), stating, "In every aspect, he (Kim) is a superior alternative."

'Superior alternative' refers to a substitute with a comparative advantage. Former leader Lee said, "The Democratic Party says they are recruiting Director Lee as the head of the Innovation Committee, but after briefly reviewing his statements and actions, if they are going to follow that line, it would be better to appoint Kim as the head of the Innovation Committee."

This appears to criticize past remarks made by Director Lee. On the 25th of last month, he called President Yoon Seok-yeol "Yoon-ga" multiple times on his SNS, saying, "Where is the freedom and democracy that Yoon-ga talks about whenever he opens his mouth?" On February 10th, on SNS, he said, "The US hegemonic forces, who fabricated the self-destructed Cheonan incident and ruined inter-Korean relations, are now exaggerating the off-course Chinese meteorological balloon as an enormous 'national threat' like an alien invasion, and the foolish Korean media are busy copying this every day."
