Gyeongnam Dongbu Veterans Office Issues and Delivers First National Veterans Registration Certificate On the 5th, the Gyeongnam Eastern Veterans Affairs Office of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs issued and presented the first national veterans registration certificate to Park Jeonghwa, the bereaved family member of a fallen military police officer.

Park is the child of Park Noho, who died in the Korean War and is buried in the national managed cemetery in Hacheong-myeon, Geoje City. Through the national veterans registration discovery project for those buried in national managed cemeteries promoted by our agency, Park was registered as a bereaved family member of a fallen soldier in February this year.

Park said, “I am glad that my father has been registered as a national merit recipient, even if belatedly. I deeply thank the Director of the Gyeongnam Eastern Regional Office of Veterans Affairs and the staff who helped with this.”

The National Veterans Registration Certificate consolidates 15 types of national merit (bereaved family) certificates issued by category into one, allowing it to be used as a single ID card per person.
