The Goseong-gun Sports Council in Gyeongnam is fielding a team of 602 members, including 488 athletes and 114 officials, to participate in the 62nd Gyeongsangnam-do Residents Sports Festival.

This event will be held from the 9th to the 12th over four days in Tongyeong City, with around 20,000 officials and athletes from 18 cities and counties participating under the slogan "Let's Gather in Tongyeong! Enjoy the Gyeongnam Sports Festival!" It will feature 31 sports disciplines.
In Goseong-gun, three sports?weightlifting, baseball (military division), and basketball (city division)?will be held from the 8th to the 11th at the Weightlifting Arena, Goseong-gun Baseball Stadium, and the National Sports Center, respectively.
Goseong-gun will compete in 22 sports (▲Athletics ▲Swimming ▲Soccer ▲Baseball & Softball ▲Tennis ▲Basketball ▲Volleyball ▲Table Tennis ▲Boxing ▲Weightlifting ▲Ssireum ▲Judo ▲Kendo ▲Archery ▲Badminton ▲Taekwondo ▲Bowling ▲Golf ▲Bodybuilding ▲Jokgu ▲Gateball ▲Ground Golf), showcasing the skills honed by the athletes of Goseong-gun.
Last year, the county achieved excellent results by winning awards in 13 sports at the 61st Gyeongsangnam-do Residents Sports Festival held in Yangsan.
County Governor Lee Sang-geun said, "I hope the athletes' hard work and sweat will bear valuable fruit," and added, "I wish for the successful completion of the event without any injuries."
Sports Council Chairman Bae Jeong-gu stated, "I hope the athletes will demonstrate the skills they have diligently developed and elevate the status of Goseong-gun sports."
