Costa Serena 'Tourism Promotion Center' Operation

Focused Promotion of Pohang, East Sea Tourism City

Pohang City will operate a tourism promotion center in line with the large-scale vessel Costa Serena's sailing schedule from the 5th to the 11th, accommodating up to 3,740 people.

Costa Serena scheduled to depart from Yeongilman Port.

The Costa Serena will depart from Yeongilman Port on the afternoon of the 5th, stop by Okinawa and Miyakojima in Japan, and Keelung in Taiwan, before arriving in Busan on the 11th. It has reached full capacity with over 3,000 nationwide tourists recruited.

The promotion center will be operated at the waiting area before boarding at Pohang Yangdeok Hanmaeum Gymnasium, inside the cruise ship, and locally in Okinawa.

Through the operation of the promotion center, the city plans to promote Pohang’s major tourist attractions, local cuisine, and recreational activities, preparing various contents such as distribution of promotional materials and roulette events to conduct effective promotional marketing.

Park Sang-jin, head of the Convention and Tourism Industry Division of the city, said, “Pohang, blessed with natural coastal scenery, is a city with infinite tourism potential, loved as a K-drama filming location.” He added, “We plan to actively promote Pohang so that many people both domestically and internationally can experience the boundless charm of Pohang.”
