Fire in Office-tel in Gangseo-gu, Seoul... 56 Residents Evacuated at Dawn

A fire broke out around 5:02 a.m. on the 8th floor of a 13-story officetel in Gonghang-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, causing 56 residents to evacuate.

According to the fire department, the fire was completely extinguished by 5:33 a.m., about 30 minutes later. The fire department deployed 29 fire trucks and 101 personnel for the firefighting operation.

A man in his 60s living in the unit where the fire occurred suffered minor burns and was taken to the hospital.

The fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
