Hana Financial Group's Smart Ambassadors is the first university student ambassador program in the financial sector that practices social value creation activities domestically and internationally to fulfill the group mission of ‘growing together and sharing happiness through finance.’ Since its inception in 2012, a total of 914 graduates have been produced.
The 17th Smart Ambassadors selected this time will be active for three months until the end of August this year. They are expected to carry out various missions such as proposing ideas to expand services based on Hana Bank’s application ‘Hana One Q,’ promotional activities linked with the group’s sports teams, producing content for the group’s official YouTube channel ‘Hana TV,’ and domestic and international social contribution activities.
In particular, they will participate in the small business support campaign ‘Hana Power On Store,’ where they will directly create online and offline promotional content that helps small business operators manage their establishments. Additionally, overseas volunteer activities, which had been suspended for a while due to COVID-19, will resume starting with this group, contributing to the expansion of the group’s global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
The ambassadors will receive a certain amount of activity expenses, and outstanding ambassadors will be selected to receive prize money and preferential treatment in document screening when applying for employment at Hana Financial Group.
Ham Young-joo, Chairman of Hana Financial Group, said, “I feel the enthusiasm and passion of the university student opinion leaders selected after overcoming a competition rate more than three times that of last year, so I have even greater expectations for the activities of the 17th Smart Ambassadors.” He encouraged, “I hope you enjoy and challenge yourselves freely for three months with the fresh ideas and energy of the younger generation to further brighten Hana Financial Group.”
