Gyeongnam Office of Education: "Come to the Expo to Create Future Cars!"

Operation of Experience Spaces and Job Counseling at Gyeongnam Career Experience Expo

The Gyeongnam Office of Education is providing a future automobile experience space in the vocational education innovation district at the 6th Gyeongnam Career Experience Expo.


The provincial office of education announced that it is operating experience booths for elementary and middle school students, parents, and citizens at the expo, which runs until the 3rd.


The vocational education innovation district is a vocational education support system by the Ministry of Education to nurture high school graduates' talents. Through a vocational education platform between local governments and education offices, vocational high schools, local companies, and universities participate to cultivate talent.

At the provincial office of education's booth experience space, visitors can receive career and vocational counseling and participate in making future automobiles according to each vocational education innovation district.


The vocational education innovation district fields are ▲ Jinju, Sacheon, and Goseong's ‘Aviation’ ▲ Changwon's ‘Smart Manufacturing’ ▲ Gimhae's ‘Future Automobiles and Biomedical’ ▲ Geoje's ‘Future Shipbuilding’ ▲ Geochang's ‘Digital Elevators’ ▲ Miryang's ‘Nano and Semiconductors’.


Various events such as career counseling for Gyeongnam vocational high schools, promotions, and car races are also being held.


The provincial office of education explained that based on the vocational education innovation district project, vocational high schools will discover various growth paths and modernize programs and equipment to cultivate specialized technical talents suited to future regional specialized industries.


A student participating in the experience said, “I am very interested in electric cars, and through this experience activity and career counseling, I was able to learn more professionally about my area of interest, which was beneficial.”


Kim Kyung-gyu, Director of Career Education, said, “The vocational education innovation district project is progressing smoothly, with all three districts selected as excellent districts last year,” and added, “We will do our best not only for this event but also to actively discover various talent growth paths and expand experience opportunities for students' future careers.”
