Suwon City to Operate 'Special Natural Disaster Inspection Period' for Two Weeks Starting from the 12th Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun is presiding over the '2023 Summer Natural Disaster (Heavy Rain, Typhoon, Heatwave) Preparedness Status Meeting' at the City Hall Disaster and Safety Situation Room on the 1st.

The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province will operate a 'Special Natural Disaster Inspection Period' for two weeks starting from the 12th of this month.


On the 2nd, Suwon City announced that public officials, including senior officials, will form on-site inspection teams to check locations at risk of natural disasters for two weeks starting from the 12th of this month.


After completing the special inspections, Suwon City will hold a results briefing and promptly take action at places where there is a risk of disaster occurrence.


On the 1st, Lee Jae-jun, Mayor of Suwon, presided over the '2023 Summer Natural Disaster (Heavy Rain, Typhoon, Heatwave) Preparedness Status Report Meeting' at the City Hall Disaster Safety Situation Room, and urged, "Declare the special natural disaster inspection period, form on-site inspection teams, and carefully inspect all places at risk of natural disasters for two weeks."


He added, "Focus on preventing loss of life and minimizing damage to citizens' property," and said, "If we prepare systematically from now on, we will be able to minimize the damage."
