Changwon Special City Accepts Applications for Large-scale Store
Opening Registration
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 1st that Starfield Changwon submitted an application for large-scale store opening registration on May 31.
Starfield Changwon has submitted an application for large-scale store opening registration in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam.
The registration for opening a large-scale store must be completed after obtaining a building permit and before starting business operations.
The business plan submitted by Starfield Changwon includes the construction of a building with a total floor area of 240,000㎡, consisting of 7 basement floors and 6 above-ground floors, with a store area of 73,000㎡ composed of ▲ 65,000㎡ of sales facilities ▲ 4,200㎡ of cultural and assembly facilities ▲ 3,200㎡ of sports facilities. It also includes warehouse-type stores, Aquafield, Sports Monster, and Pet Park. The anticipated completion date, which attracted attention, is the second half of 2025.
In the future, the large-scale store opening registration process will verify and supplement the objectivity and validity of the commercial area impact assessment and regional cooperation plan submitted by Starfield through investigations by specialized institutions in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Additionally, opinions on mutual cooperation matters with small business owners will be heard through the Changwon City Distribution Industry Win-Win Development Council. Based on this, the submitted documents will be reviewed, and if any supplements are needed, the applicant will be requested to provide them, completing the registration for opening a large-scale store.
