The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 1st that they will form a council with night tourism specialized cities such as Busan, Daejeon, Incheon, Jeonju, Gangneung, Tongyeong, and Jinju, and establish the night tourism brand "Korea Night Night Everywhere."

The seven cities will engage in inter-city exchange and collaboration, domestic and international joint promotion and marketing through the council. Additionally, they will implement a performance-sharing system among cities to manage the quality of night tourism content and measure outcomes, as well as build night tourism data.
Night tourism specialized cities refer to cities equipped with tourist attractions, content, and related infrastructure that can be enjoyed at night. Since last year, the Ministry and the Organization have been selecting these cities through public contests. In 2022, Incheon and Tongyeong in Gyeongnam were selected, and this year, Daejeon, Busan, Gangneung in Gangwon, Jeonju in Jeonbuk, and Jinju in Gyeongnam were chosen respectively.
The Korea Tourism Organization led the launch of the council to establish Korea as a hub for night tourism and to promote joint projects aimed at advancing to a world-class level.
On this day, the Organization declared the night tourism brand identity (BI) "Korea Night Night Everywhere" to revitalize night tourism. The name was selected through procedures including a national survey and focus group interviews (FGI), with the meaning of widely promoting the charm of night attractions across Korea. The BI will be used in various night tourism promotions in the future.
Joo Sang-geon, head of the Leisure Tourism Team at the Organization, stated, "With the launch of the council and the declaration of the BI as a starting point, we will actively promote the night tourism specialized city project so that it can become a new growth engine for the regional tourism industry, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19 over the past three years."
