The signing ceremony was attended by key executives from each company, including Yoon Young-joon, President of Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Shantanu Kaushikkar, Vice President of Thermo Fisher’s Global Genetic Sciences Division, and Seo Jung-sun, Chairman of Macrogen.
Through this agreement, the three parties plan to continue their cooperative relationship to discover and apply Hyundai Engineering & Construction’s life-care services linked to gene analysis by ▲developing dedicated healthcare services for Hyundai Engineering & Construction’s apartment complexes ▲providing gene testing equipment and specialized solutions ▲composing specialized items for gene testing services ▲jointly developing future health residential models.
Thermo Fisher is a global top-tier company in biotechnology that provides gene analysis equipment and solutions, as well as laboratory and analytical instruments, biopharmaceuticals, and diagnostic solutions. With 100,000 employees worldwide, it achieves annual sales exceeding $40 billion (approximately 53 trillion KRW) and holds the No. 1 global market share in laboratory, analytical, and diagnostic instruments.
Macrogen is a global digital healthcare company with the No. 1 market share in genome analysis in Korea, offering the largest number of gene testing services domestically with 73 types. Starting with this agreement, Hyundai Engineering & Construction will actively promote the establishment of the All Life-care House model, which manages not only the individual health of residents but also their overall lifestyle within residential spaces. Based on accurate data derived from gene analysis, it plans to discover and apply solutions in three areas: Health Living, Wellness, and Medical.
Accordingly, residents of Hyundai Engineering & Construction’s apartment complexes will be able to receive differentiated care services incorporating leading domestic and international healthcare technologies, including personalized diet and exercise management, sleep and beauty services, as well as emergency medical services linked to hospitals in case of urgent situations.
Yoon Young-joon, President of Hyundai Engineering & Construction, said, “Residential spaces, which have undergone physical changes repeatedly, will transform into proactive entities that comprehensively care for residents’ healthy lives through a software-centered paradigm shift. We expect this business agreement to be the first step toward that innovation.”
