Plan to Add More Adoptions at Companion Beach

Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 1st that it has adopted Incheon Hanagae Beach as a companion beach and that its employees carried out cleanup activities.

A companion beach is a program where companies and private organizations adopt a beach and care for it like a pet. Lotte Homeshopping plans to conduct cleanup activities more than three times a year and carry out marine environment protection campaigns.

About 30 Lotte Homeshopping employees walked along approximately 1.5 km of the beach at Hanagae Beach for two hours, collecting trash. The waste collected through the cleanup activities, including debris discarded in rock crevices and washed ashore by waves, will be used as data to reduce marine litter and address environmental issues.

A Lotte Homeshopping official said, “As part of our eco-friendly social contribution activities, we have started environmental cleanup activities by adopting a companion beach. In the future, we will continue to show interest in marine environment conservation by adopting companion beaches in various regions and fulfill our social responsibility through ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.”
